25 NDP MLA's on the wall 25 NDP MLA's
Finance Minister Andrew Thompson, Regina South, announced today that he will not be running for reelection in the next provincial election. This brings the number of NDP MLAs who are not running for reelection to 6. 8 NDP MLAs have announced they are running for reelection. The remaining 16 NDP MLAs have until May 17th to announce their intention. Needless to say there is speculation whether Glenn Hagle who it was revealed lied to the people of Saskatchewan about NDP Caucus Fraud and covered it up will seek reelection. Pat Atkinson who after 16 years in government may decide she doesn’t want to sit in opposition. Eldon Lautermilch who’s had scandals dog him throughout his time in office may also decide to bow out. Currently the NDP have 4 candidates nominated in ridings where incumbent NDP MLAs are not rerunning and 14 candidates nominated in ridings not currently held by the NDP. There are 16 ridings without nominated candidates
This announcement bodes will for Bill Hutchinson Saskatchewan Party candidate in Regina South. Hutchinson was a city councillor for that area for 12 years. He is an enthusiastic and hard working candidate with a great team. They have already been door knocking and phoning the constituency. Good luck Bill.

One more Dipper jumping the ship means more chances for a saskparty victory.
God helps us, if Bill "Conflict of what?" Hutchinson is ever elected as a MLA.
All this news is so good for us conservatives in this communist province. But, we need to campaign hard, the Saskatchewan NDP are arguably the best party in Canada at playing politics. They know how to win elections, and if we are to win, we need to make it very clear what our vision is and what we will do in power.
Also, Brad Wall needs to work on talking. He is a great speech writer, he's young, and he has a beautiful family, but sometimes when I am talking to him I find he doesn't convey his message well.
What I am trying to say is, we can't take victory for granted. We need to pretend that we are campaigning from behind.
The Sask Party has no vision. That's what the talk is. They'd better come up with some ideas. This momentum will pass.
Saskatchewan Party has plenty of vision. Unlike the NDP who only has the Minister of Incompetence (Eldon Lautermilch), and the Minister of Patronage (Maynard Sonntag) really left on the front benches and running in the next election.
minister of right on
The rats are bailing off the sinking ship. This would indicate to me that the NDP does NOT have confidence in their current leader and do not believe that their platform will withstand the rigours of an election campaign.
How can the NDP hacks say that David Forbes, Kim Trew (BTW wass CANNED from being in cabinet!), Ron Harper, Kevin Yates and Lorne Calvert will successfully manage this province? These guys have poor track records or no track records at all.
Nobody likes being on the 'losing' team and it is clear to me that the winners are moving on before they are labelled as losers.
LHC
You write very well.
