Glen Hagel resigns from cabinet amid RCMP investigation into NDP Caucus fraud
Glen Hagel has resigned from cabinet. He will still sit as a NDP MLA in the legislature. Needless to say he won’t be running for re-election.
This is due to the RCMP investigation that is occurring into the NDP Caucus Fraud and its cover up.
This brings the total to 7 NDP MLA's who won’t be running for re-election in the next provincial election.

As a resident of Moose Jaw North, I can't begin to describe the joy I am feeling right now! We were stuck with that grinning goof for far too long!
We've been stuck with those goofs since 1944!
YES WHOO HOO!! Glen Hagel is gone. just one more of the NDPers to jump ship and this time it is because of fraud. I hope the people of Moose Jaw north vote for the saskparty.
Another one bites the dust. That does not preclude the Sask Party people from not working their campaigns, beating the streets and knocking the doors. It is of vital importance to finish what has been started.
It's nice to see the NDP government begin to unravel, but rest assured, there are MANY people who have a stake in keeping the NDP in power, the least of whom are their MLA's.
Remember huff, he is not gone; only gone from cabinet. There is much work to do in winning the campaign.
Very True LHC, He's gone from cabinet but still a MLA. But hopefully over time gone from government.
Indeed Lord High Commissioner. Theres tons of individuals in the civil service, in senior positions, with little more than high school, who have a lot to lose when a SaskParty government comes to power. People who only gained their promotions through nepotism or through other non-merit-based means. Indeed, that well known harasser was one of them.
These people will fight and tooth and nail to keep their jobs. Hopefully, for all of our sakes, they won't be successful, but its now becoming increasingly clear that a Sask Party government will have to pass legislation limiting severance to the political cronies of the NDP who rose to their positions based on incompetence.
LHC and huffb1, Warren Michelson has been running his campaign for quite some time now in MJ North. Door knocking and phone calls have been going on for well over a month now and hopefully this is the push Warren needs to sway both the undecided and the fed up who usually voted for Hagel. A Great Day in the "Jaw"!
I do know that I will do my part to ensure that the NDP government does not win this next election! I am VERY tired of the old guard and their management practices. I have been working hard to upgrade my education over the past 10 years, all of which I have done whilst working full time AND part time! I have no chance for advancement because I don't curry favour to the management team (read NDP hacks) and I speak the truth, whether or not management wants to hear it.
The world is literally waiting for the provincial government to change. Theya re waiting for a climate that is business and individual friendly that will improve our lives substantially.
Long gone will be the days of 'the more that leave, the more there is for us!' mentality.
LHC
Good to hear that mooseguy. Warren Michelson and others in places like Moose Jaw and saskatoon have to keep door knocking and making phone calls to sway the vote away from the NDP.
all of this sounds like some heads are in the sand
ever heard of learning from the past?
I am glad to see that Glen Hagel has stepped down as Social Services Critic in Saskatchewan. In that position, Glen Hagel was useless anyway. I had sent him a number of letters trying to get relief from a complaint I had with Social Services. I am permanently disabled; and I reside in Saskatoon. The voice of the disabled is not effectively represented here in Saskatchewan.
